“Sustainable Approach to Road Construction" Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL), in conjunction with Lake Asphalt of Trinidad & Tobago and Danny's Enterprises Co. Ltd. hosted a one - day seminar on sustainable road construction in October 2010 at the Port of Spain Room Hyatt Regency Trinidad. The seminar - "Concrete Roads.

     Soil Cement and Asphalt - A Sustainable Approach to Road Construction"' was geared towards highlighting sustainable methods of road construction used globally, including soil cement stabilization, cold in place recycling and concrete roads. The Hon. Jack Warner - Minister of Works & Transport delivered the Feature Address. - A Sustainable Approach to Road while other presentations were conducted by several experts in the field, such as Collings and Cecil Chin. Mr. Collings is a world renowned Engineer who specializes in road rehabilitation and has been actively involved in numerous road rehabilitation and upgrading projects world-wide, while Mr. Chin is a local/regional concrete roads technology advocate.

     "Concrete Roads. Soil Cement and Asphalt - A Sustainable Approach to Road Construction" was also facilitated by consultants from Danny's Enterprises and the Wirtgen Group (Germany). Seminar participants included civil engineers, road contractors and soil consultants.
